JAPANARAMA MONDAY: Ummm… seriously, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

I don’t know what to say about this one.  Apparently it’s a Japanese game show where people watch animals accidentally knock over dominoes on their way to get food?

I can’t really criticize since I did watch all 4 minutes of it… it’s oddly captivating.  Also, I don’t know what kind of animal “won” so if you do, please share in the comments!

A very bad week

The last week and a half or so has been pretty difficult for me and my family, but Married Brother emailed this link to us all on Tuesday night and I’ve found it a good reminder of the fact that even after hearing a lot of bad news, with strength, determination, and luck, the clouds can part and good things can happen.

As a sidenote, I always say I have the most wonderful family in the world — and I very much do — but I also have some pretty incredible (and extremely thoughtful) friends.  So anyway, if you’re reading this and I know you (or even if I don’t), thank you for being supportive and kind to me and my family.

Late Night Battles

I’ve always enjoyed Conan, but I couldn’t really honestly be on Team Coco when, being 100% honest, I don’t watch late night tv that often.  In fact, if NYMag doesn’t link to it in Daily Intel, I probably didn’t see it.

That said, in any Conan v. Leno battle, I’m going to take Conan’s side since he’s actually funny and maybe also because Conan is very supportive of the Taurus SHO.

Conan’s farewell show was very funny and very well done — and his final words were the epitome of class… even when talking about NBC.  What was one of his major pieces of advice (besides avoiding cynicism?)
